It is an accessory that adapts the mount from a mechanical point of view.  IT ALLOWS FOCUS TO INFINITY.  Any automatic feature that requires an electronic connection between the lens and the body is not possible.  There are many good quality manual Leica lenses that deserve to be used with micro 4/3 mounts.
